Where it works best

Over a dining table, center it and keep the bottom 30 to 36 in above the tabletop where the ceiling allows, or at least 7 ft above the floor where people walk under it. Keep the blades at least 7 ft above the floor, ideally 8 to 9 ft, and at least 18 in from walls. On a ceiling taller than 9 ft, add a downrod of about 6 in for each extra foot of height.

It is dry rated, so it is not for a porch, a patio or a bathroom.
