Spiral Glass Side Table by MacMaster

A side table that brings the Spiral base to the sofa end or bedside, with a round or square glass top.

The MacMaster Spiral Glass Side Table uses the same five-leg spiral base as the Spiral dining table, scaled down to 20 in high. The glass top is 21.5 in across, round or square, giving room for a lamp, a book and a drink.

It is made in walnut or oak veneer over a certified birch plywood core.

Where to use it

• Sofa end: beside a sofa or armchair.
• Bedside: a sculptural alternative to a nightstand.
• Hotel rooms and lounges: an accent table.

Planning notes

• At 20 in high, it suits sofa arms of about 22 to 26 in.
• Choose round for curved seating, square to line up with a sofa arm.

Who this is not for

• Anyone who needs drawers by the bed.
• Outdoor use.
• Very high sofa arms.

Care

Wipe the glass with a soft cloth and glass cleaner sprayed onto the cloth, not onto the table, so liquid never runs onto the timber. Dust the base with a dry cloth, use coasters, and keep the table out of strong direct sun and away from radiators.

Designer credit

Designed and made by Alex MacMaster, who founded MacMaster Design in 2009 and runs the workshop at The Guildings in Trimpley, near Bewdley, Worcestershire. Design, making and packing all happen in that one workshop, and his pieces are installed in homes, hotels and flagship stores across the UK, Europe and beyond.

Why we carry MacMaster

We've been curating design-led pieces since 2009, and MacMaster is the kind of maker we look for: one designer, one workshop, certified timber and no shortcuts. The studio's stands have earned the Royal Horticultural Society's five-star tradestand award at Chelsea six times, most recently in 2026.

Frequently asked questions

What size is the Spiral side table?
