The ET2 Traverse is a wet-rated outdoor wall light with layered black squares around a white acrylic lens, 10 x 19.75 in. It gives 2120 lumens of 3000K LED downlight on 31 W, projects 4.75 in, and suits large entries, garages and commercial facades.

Layered aluminum and steel squares form a geometric frame, and a high power LED sits behind a white acrylic lens for even illumination. Light is directed down, which puts it on steps, doorsteps and the ground. The fixture weighs 2.9 lb, has 8 in of lead wire and a 10 in canopy. Dimming is ELV or Triac CL, and rated life is 50000 hours. It is not Dark Sky listed. The Matte Black frame suits Modern and Industrial buildings, and the scale suits wide doors.

Where it works best

Use a pair at a garage or a large entry, where 2120 lumens will light the doorstep and the approach. Space several 8 to 12 ft apart along a long commercial wall. Pair the geometry with black railings, simple door hardware and plain cladding so the layered frame stays the focus.

Who this is not for

It is large for a small porch, at 10 in wide and 4.75 in deep, so check the clearance beside doors. It is not Dark Sky listed, so it may not suit communities with strict night sky rules. The LED is integrated, so it cannot be re-lamped.

Why we carry ET2

Traverse brings strong output and a distinctive geometry to larger entries where small sconces look undersized. We carry it for the 2120 lumens and the wet rating.

Care and installation

Wipe the frame and lens with a soft damp cloth and mild soap, and avoid solvents on the acrylic. ET2 advises that a qualified electrician install it. Assembly sheet: E21511 (PDF).

Frequently asked questions

How high should I mount the Traverse on a wall?

Center it about 66 to 72 in above the floor. The light shines down, so it needs clear space below, and the wide frame needs several inches of wall on each side.

Can the Traverse go outdoors in the rain?

Yes. It is rated for wet locations, so exposed exterior walls, garages and covered entries are all fine for it, and it also works indoors.

Does the Traverse dim?

Yes. Dimming is ELV or Triac CL, so use a compatible LED dimmer of one of those types and test the low end of the range.

Is the Traverse bright enough for a garage?

With 2120 lumens on 31 W, it is one of the brighter wall lights in this group, and it suits garage doors, wide entries and loading areas.

What should my electrician know before installing the Traverse?

Input is 120V, the weight is 2.9 lb, the projection is 4.75 in and the canopy is 10 in. It has 8 in of lead wire, and the light mounts facing down.

Is the Traverse ADA compliant?

The listing marks it as ADA compliant, though its 4.75 in projection is deeper than a slim sconce. Confirm the clearance for your project before you specify it.
