The ET2 Soji is a linear lantern pendant with satin white glass in a two-tone Black and Gold frame, offered in 40 in and 60 in lengths for a dining table, a kitchen island, a hallway or a restaurant bar. The integrated 3000K LED at 90 CRI dims on Triac, ELV or 0-10V depending on the voltage version.

Which size for which room

• 40 in: Fits a 4 to 6 seat dining table or a short island, with 1,570 lumens and a 39.5 in length, hung 30 to 36 in above the surface.
• 60 in: Fits an 8 seat table, a long island or a hospitality bar, with 3,000 lumens and a 60 in length, so one fixture can span the whole surface.

Where it works best

Center the 40 in over a small table or the 60 in over a long table or island. In an entry, hang it over a console to give a long, soft line. Mix with simple recessed lights, and keep other fixtures in the room in black or brass to echo the two-tone frame. Over a restaurant bar, the 60 in gives an even run of glow.

Who this is not for

Soji must stay in dry locations, so keep it out of bathrooms with showers and covered outdoor spaces. The LED source is sealed in, so there is no bulb to change. The 60 in model weighs 22 lb, so confirm the box and framing can carry it.

Which Soji length should I choose for my table?

Choose the 40 in for tables about 48 to 60 in long and the 60 in for tables 72 in and up. The fixture should be at least 12 in shorter than the table to leave room for chairs and clearance.

How high should I hang it?

About 30 to 36 in above the table to the bottom of the glass is a good standard. The 120 in cord is trimmed on site, and the overall height range runs from 8.5 up to 128.75 in.

Can it be dimmed?

Depending on the voltage version, it dims with 3-in-1 (Triac, ELV, 0-10V) or Triac CL or ELV. Check the model you order against your dimmer.

Can I use it on a sloped ceiling?

The record lists a 90 degree slope allowance for the canopy. Confirm the mounting method with your electrician, and trim the cord so the lantern hangs level.

Is it bright enough for dining?

The 40 in produces 1,570 lumens and the 60 in produces 3,000 lumens at 3000K. Add a dimmer so the same fixture can serve for dinner and for homework.
