Perpetual LED Ribbon Pendant, 32, 37 or 43 in, Black Chrome or Champagne, by ET2

The ET2 Perpetual LED Ribbon Pendant is a stainless steel ribbon that curves and curls in one motion, in 32 in round, 37 x 14.25 in and 43 x 24.5 in sizes, finished in Black Chrome or Brushed Champagne. Output runs from 1800 to 2540 lumens at 3000K with 90 CRI, with ELV or Triac dimming.

Acrylic spreads the LED so the light moves in every direction, with a gentle glow rather than a spot. The fixtures are 15.75 to 19 in tall, and they hang on a 118 in cord from a 14.25 in canopy. Overall height runs from 19.25 to 140.25 in. Brushed Champagne reads warm and fits Transitional and Contemporary rooms with brass hardware, while Black Chrome is deeper and suits Modern settings with dark steel.

Which size for which room

• 37 x 14.25 in: At 37 in long and 14.25 in wide, this is the slim linear size at 1800 lumens, suited to a rectangular table or a console about 5 to 6 ft long.
• 32 in: At 32 in square and 1800 lumens, this size suits a round or square table, a seating group or an entry about 9 to 10 ft across.
• 43 x 24.5 in: At 43 in long, 24.5 in wide and 2540 lumens, this is the largest, suited to a long dining table or a double-height foyer that needs a strong sculptural fixture.

Where it works best

Center the 37 or 43 in over a rectangular table, and the 32 in over a round table or at the heart of an entry. The long cord also makes them workable in two-story halls. Use one per space, since the form is big enough to be a focal point and needs room around it.

Who this is not for

Perpetual is rated for dry locations only, so keep it away from showers, porches and humid spaces. At 43 to 63 W, the larger sizes draw real power, so confirm the ceiling support and circuit with an electrician. The LED is integrated, so lamp swaps are not possible.

Why we carry ET2

We stock Perpetual because it offers a sculptural ribbon in three sizes and two finishes, so it can match a long table or a round one. It also gives high output for a decorative fixture.

Care and installation

Use a dry microfiber cloth on the stainless steel and a soft damp cloth on the acrylic, then buff dry. ET2 notes that installation should be done by a qualified electrician. Assembly sheets: 32 in (PDF), 37 x 14.25 in (PDF), 43 x 24.5 in (PDF).

Frequently asked questions

Which Perpetual size suits a long dining table?

The 43 x 24.5 in suits a table 7 to 9 ft long, and the 37 x 14.25 in suits one about 5 to 6 ft long. Hang either 30 to 36 in above the top.

How bright is each size?

The 37 and 32 in sizes give 1800 lumens, and the 43 in gives 2540 lumens, all at 3000K. That is enough for the main light over a table.

What dimmers does it use?

It is rated for ELV or Triac dimming, so most residential dimmers will work. Pick one type and test the low end with your electrician.

What is the difference between the finishes?

Brushed Champagne is warm and soft, and Black Chrome is darker and more graphic. Both use the same shapes and sizes.

How low can it hang?

The overall height runs from 19.25 to 140.25 in, depending on size. The 118 in cord lets the installer set the drop.

Is Perpetual suitable for outdoors?

No. The location rating is dry, so use it indoors in a dining room, foyer or living area, away from showers, steam and exposed porches.
