Nob LED Geometric Pendant, Black and Gold, Clear Acrylic Diffuser, by ET2

The ET2 Nob LED Pendant is a compact geometric fixture, 13.5 in wide and 7.5 in tall, with 1200 lumens of 3000K light. It can hang alone over a nightstand or desk, or in a group at staggered heights over a table, bar or stair.

A plated Gold housing is topped with a Black round handle and closed by a clear acrylic diffuser at the bottom, so the light points down toward the surface below. The overall height adjusts from 10 to 129.5 in on a 120 in cord, which makes staggering several drops easy. The fixture weighs 7.7 lb and mounts to a 12 in canopy. Black and Gold works in Modern and Contemporary interiors, and it pairs well with brass hardware, dark cabinetry and warm wood.

Where it works best

Group three or five at different heights over a dining table, bar or entry, or use a single drop beside a bed or over a corner desk. Restaurants and hotels can use a line of them over a counter or banquette. Keep the heights varied by 6 to 12 in so the shapes read as a composition.

Who this is not for

Keep it in dry indoor spaces, and the LED is integrated, so the source cannot be replaced. One fixture gives 1200 lumens, so a large table needs several or additional ambient lights. The dimmer must be Triac CL compatible, and the 12 in canopy needs room on the ceiling.

Why we carry ET2

Nob works as a single accent or as a cluster, which makes it flexible across homes and projects. The long cord and 10 in minimum height give designers room to set a custom composition.

Care and installation

A soft dry cloth is enough for the Gold housing and Black handle, and damp microfiber handles the acrylic. Avoid abrasives, and use a qualified electrician for the install, per ET2. Assembly sheet: E20863 (PDF).

Frequently asked questions

How many Nob pendants do I need over a table?

For a table 6 ft long, three fixtures spaced evenly usually look balanced. Each gives 1200 lumens, so three provide enough ambient light for most dining rooms when dimmed.

How should I stagger the heights?

The overall height runs from 10 to 129.5 in, so you can vary drops by 6 to 12 in. Keep the lowest one 30 to 36 in above a table surface.

Can it hang beside a bed?

Yes, a single drop on each side of a bed works in a dry bedroom. Set the bottom roughly 20 to 24 in above the nightstand, and keep it clear of anyone sitting up.

Does the acrylic yellow or give glare?

The clear acrylic diffuser directs light downward, so avoid hanging it where you look straight at it from below. Position it above eye level when seated.

What dimmer should I use?

The fixture is rated for Triac CL dimming. Match the dimmer rating to the 19.5 watt load for each fixture, and avoid mixing too many on a small dimmer.

Is it suitable for a restaurant or hotel?

Yes, in dry indoor areas such as bars, banquettes and lobbies. A group of fixtures works well over a counter, and the 30000 hour LED rating suits regular use.
