Center it over a rectangular dining table 5 to 7 ft long or a kitchen island, with the bottom 30 to 36 in above the surface. It also suits a long hallway, a reception desk or a restaurant counter. Use matching nickel faucets or hardware to keep the finish consistent.

Who this is not for

Link carries a dry rating, so keep it indoors. At 1620 lumens it gives good ambient light but needs task lighting for kitchen prep. The 42 in length needs a table or island of similar or greater length, and the LED is integrated.

A table or island of 5 to 7 ft. The fixture should be at least 12 in shorter than the table so it feels in proportion.

How high should it hang?

Leave 30 to 36 in between the tabletop or counter and the bottom of the chain. The overall height adjusts from 10 to 129 in on the 120 in cord.

Can I use two over a long table?

Yes. Two fixtures end to end with a 12 to 18 in gap suit a table over 8 ft. Align the canopies with the table center.
