The ET2 Fosso is a slim black aluminum wall sconce in 24, 35 and 47 inch lengths, wet rated for exposed walls at entries, garages and building facades. A backlit slit gives a clean line of light at 90 CRI, and a selectable switch sets the color anywhere from 2200K to 4000K on site.

The body is a rectilinear aluminum extrusion with a glass element, 5 in wide and only 1.5 in off the wall, so it sits flat beside a door or along a blank wall without intruding on a walkway. The integrated LED sits behind an angled slit, which keeps the source out of direct view and cuts glare at eye level. The driver accepts 120 to 277V and dims on Triac or ELV at 120V, so one fixture serves a house or a commercial facade. Which size for which room

• 24 in: 5 x 23.5 in, 880 lumens on 20 W. The shortest length flanks a front door or a side entry, and it fits a narrow wall section between two windows.
• 35 in: 5 x 35.5 in, 1100 lumens on 30 W. A good middle size for a double door, a garage side wall or a porch column where you want a taller line of light.
• 47 in: 5 x 47.25 in, 1400 lumens on 40 W. The tallest length washes a long facade, a courtyard wall or a restaurant entry, and it reads well from the street.

Where it works best

Place a pair on either side of an entry door, with the center of each fixture roughly 60 to 66 in above the floor, or run the 47 in length alone down a long exterior wall. Use the 24 in at secondary doors and the longer lengths on the main facade so the scheme reads as one family. Keep the rest of the exterior simple, with black step lights and house numbers, so the vertical slit stays the feature.

Who this is not for

It is a linear accent and wayfinding fixture, not a floodlight, so do not count on it to light a whole yard or driveway. The LED is integrated and not meant to be replaced by the owner. Dimming at 120V needs a Triac or ELV dimmer, and the sconce is Black only.

How high should the Fosso be mounted beside a door?

Most installers center a sconce of this type about 60 to 66 in above the floor, which puts the slit near eye level. With the 47 in length, you can start lower and let the line of light run past the door frame, as long as the top stays below the soffit.

Can the Fosso be installed in the rain or on an exposed wall?

Yes. It is rated for wet locations, so it can go on an exposed exterior wall or a covered porch. Seal around the 5 in backplate as you would for any exterior fixture.

Can I choose the color temperature of the Fosso?

Yes. A switch on the fixture selects among 2200K, 2700K, 3000K, 3500K and 4000K, so you can match warm porch lights or a cooler commercial entry without ordering another model. Set it on site before closing up the fixture and test at dusk.
