Dorian Rotating Twin Tube Wall Sconce, 22 or 30 in, Black, Gold or Chrome, by ET2

The ET2 Dorian is an LED wall sconce with two cylinder tubes that rotate individually, in 22 and 30 in lengths. Output is 750 to 900 lumens at 3000K and 90 CRI, it projects 3.5 in, and it is ADA compliant and damp rated.

Two tubes extend from a square block support, and each one can be turned to aim the light up, down or across the wall. That makes it useful to highlight artwork, a stair wall or a collection. It runs on 120-277V and dims by ELV or 0-10V. The backplate mounts to a single gang box or common 3-0 or 4-0 boxes with a cover plate included. Black suits Modern rooms, Gold fits Transitional ones, and Polished Chrome suits Contemporary baths.

Which size for which room

• 22 in, 750 lumens, 15W: A compact sconce for a stair landing, a bedside, or a pair at a mirror. It weighs 2.64 lb.
• 30 in, 900 lumens, 18W: Fits a tall wall, a stairwell or a gallery wall where a longer sweep of light is needed. It weighs 3.08 lb.

Where it works best

Use it in stairwells, galleries, hallways and bedrooms where you want adjustable light on a wall. Rotate the tubes to graze art or to wash the ceiling edge. Pair it with a table lamp for reading. On a stair wall, mount it so the tubes sit near eye level at the landing and aim one tube up and one down.

Who this is not for

The damp rating covers a ventilated room but not direct rain or outdoor use. The LEDs are part of the fixture, so there is nothing to relamp. The listing gives two extension options, but this version projects 3.5 in, so verify ADA clearance on your wall.

Why we carry ET2

Dorian lets the owner aim its light, which is rare in a sconce. The commercial voltage range and 0-10V dimming make it a good fit for projects.

Care and installation

Dust with a soft dry cloth and wipe the tubes lightly with a damp one. Bring in a qualified electrician for the wiring, which ET2 recommends. Assembly sheets: 22 in (PDF), 30 in (PDF).

Frequently asked questions

Can I aim the light?

Yes. The two tubes rotate individually, so you can point the light up, down or across the wall. Set the aim after mounting.

What dimmers does it use?

It dims with ELV or 0-10V dimmers. Confirm the dimmer type with your electrician and test the low end before the wall is closed.

What boxes does it mount to?

The backplate fits a single gang junction box or common 3-0 or 4-0 boxes, and a cover plate is included for the larger boxes.

Is it ADA compliant?

The listing marks it ADA compliant with a 3.5 in projection. Check local requirements before specifying it in a public corridor.

Can I use it on commercial circuits?

Yes. The driver accepts 120-277V, so it works on commercial circuits in hotels, galleries and offices, with 0-10V dimming for controls.

Is it OK in a bathroom?

Yes, a bath with a working fan is a fine home for the damp-rated Dorian. Place it where the shower spray cannot reach the tubes.
