Where a spot head makes a pool, the tube spreads the light along its length, so it fills a shelf, a counter edge or a long wall more evenly. The head is aluminum and polycarbonate, 19.75 x 1.25 x 3 in, and weighs only 0.75 lb. It runs at 24V from the Continuum system and is rated for Triac dimming, with 90 CRI and a 50,000 hour life. Where it works best

The tube head works best on a track run over a counter, a long shelf, a headboard wall or a gallery bench, where an even band of light is needed. Mix it with spot heads on the same rail so the tube supplies the base light and spots pick out items. Keep one finish across the whole run.

Who this is not for

It is rated for dry locations only, so keep it away from bathrooms and outdoor use. It needs a Continuum track and a compatible power feed, because it runs at 24V and is not a plug-in light. It is a single size at 19.75 in, so short rails will not take it. It is a wide wash, not a tight spot for a single object.
