The ET2 Brasilia is a Black stainless steel wall lantern with a beveled arched cage, wet rated for entries, porches and building exteriors. It comes in three sizes from 12 to 18 in tall, with integrated 3000K LED, three dimming methods and a rated life of 50000 hours.

The cage is 304 grade stainless steel with beveled arches, and the LED sources run along the frame, so the light spreads in every direction and the fixture glows instead of throwing a hard beam. That softer, omnidirectional light makes it comfortable beside a door where people stand close to it. The sizes are 6.5 x 12 in, 7 x 14.5 in and 8 x 18 in, with projections of 2.5, 4.75 and 5.5 in. Which size for which room

• 6.5 x 12 in: 550 lumens on 11 W, one light, 2.5 in projection. The slimmest option for a narrow door frame, a gate post or a tight porch wall.
• 7 x 14.5 in: 410 lumens on 5.5 W, two lights, 4.75 in projection. A mid-size lantern for single entry doors where you want a softer glow.
• 8 x 18 in: 540 lumens on 6 W, seven lights, 5.5 in projection. The largest size suits double doors, tall entries and garage fronts where the lantern needs presence.

Where it works best

Flank the front door with a pair, or place one beside a garage or patio door. Keep the same size on both sides of an entry and step up to the 18 in lantern for taller walls. In a mixed scheme, pair the Black cage with black hardware and house numbers, and keep other fixtures simple so the arches remain the feature.

Who this is not for

Skip it if you want a warm-to-cool choice, since the color is fixed at 3000K. The fixture is a decorative wall lantern, not a security floodlight, so add separate area lighting for driveways. The smaller sizes put out less light than the largest, so check the lumens against the space.

Frequently asked questions

Where should I mount the Brasilia lantern beside a door?

Center it roughly 60 to 66 in above the floor, so the arches sit near eye level without glare. On a double door, hang one on each side at the same height. With the 8 x 18 in size, keep at least a few inches of clear wall above it.

Can the Brasilia stay outside year round?

Yes. It is rated for wet locations and built from 304 grade stainless steel, so it can sit in rain or snow on an open wall. Seal the backplate, which is 6.25 to 7.25 in wide, against the wall.

Does the Brasilia dim?

Yes. It accepts three dimming methods: Triac, ELV or 0-10V. That makes it easy to put on a residential dimmer or a commercial 0-10V control, but test the dimmer before finalizing the install.

How do the three Brasilia sizes compare?
