Basilica Scalloped Concrete Wall Sconce, 7.75 in, Chalk White, GU10 LED Included, by ET2

The ET2 Basilica is a scalloped concrete dome wall sconce in Chalk White, 7.75 in wide and 7.5 in tall. An included GU10 LED gives 450 lumens at 3000K and 90 CRI, aims up or down, and meets ADA with a 4 in projection for entries and halls.

The dome shape gives the sconce a sculptural look while the concrete and steel construction feels solid. The GU10 LED is replaceable, dimmable, and rated for 20,000 hours. The sconce weighs 3.39 lb and has an 8 in lead. The maker links the form to biophilic and coastal geometry, and the pale finish suits Coastal, Scandinavian and Minimalist rooms with plaster walls and natural wood.

Where it works best

Use it in an entry, a hallway or a bedroom. Mount it up for a ceiling glow or down for a wall graze. A pair at a headboard gives balance. Mount it up to bounce light off a ceiling or down to graze a wall. A pair at a headboard or console gives balance, and the pale concrete pairs well with plaster, linen and light wood.

Who this is not for

It is rated for dry locations only, so keep it out of baths and outdoor spaces. Output is 450 lumens, which suits accent and ambient light but not task work. The finish is Chalk White only.

Why we carry ET2

Basilica belongs to a family that also includes pendants, so a room can repeat the dome. The replaceable GU10 LED makes maintenance easy and brings natural texture to dry rooms.

Care and installation

Dust the concrete with a dry soft brush and avoid wet cleaners that can stain it. Hire a qualified electrician to mount it, as ET2 advises. Assembly sheet: E25140 (PDF).
