The ET2 Alumilux Bollard is a 12V low voltage path light in Black aluminum, with a choice of dish, globe, dome, cone or fountainhead heads on a 16 in or 24 in pole. It is wet rated, gives 3000K light at 90 CRI and is built for garden paths, driveways, entries and commercial walkways.

Each head throws light in a different way. The dish head gives the most output at 710 lumens, the fountainhead gives 690 lumens, the globe gives 440 lumens, and the dome and cone give 260 and 290 lumens for a low, tight glow. Total heights run from about 17 to 32 in. The LED is integrated, rated for 50,000 hours, and the cord is 8 in. Black aluminum blends into planting and works with Modern, Contemporary and Industrial landscapes.

Where it works best

Line a front path with dome or cone heads for gentle marker light, and use dish or fountainhead heads where more light is needed, such as a driveway edge or steps. Space bollards evenly, closer for the low-output heads, and keep the pole height the same across the run. In a commercial setting, use the 24 in poles for better visibility.

Who this is not for

The Alumilux Bollard is 12V, so it needs a low voltage transformer and cable. It is not dimmable. Its LED is built into the head, so service means replacing the head. The lower-output heads are for marking a path and not for lighting an area. Pole height and head type are fixed by the item you choose.

Care and installation

Wipe the aluminum and glass with a damp cloth and mild soap, and trim planting so leaves do not cover the head. A qualified electrician should wire the system, as ET2 recommends. Yes, it is rated for wet locations and is meant for open garden and path use. Keep the connections sealed against soil and water.

What power does it use?
