Saxifraga White Ceramic Bowl with Elephant Head Handle

A deep white bowl with a brushed nickel elephant head that turns a plain console or bar top into a conversation piece.

Saxifraga is a deep white ceramic bowl with a brushed nickel elephant head on one side, trunk curled over the rim. Set it on a console, a bar or a lobby table as a single sculptural object, filled with fruit, matches or ice for a party.

The bowl measures 12.5 in wide, 9 in deep and 8 in tall, so it has real capacity compared with a shallow dish. The animal accent adds visual weight to one side, which makes it best viewed from the front. Because the bowl is white inside and out, whatever it holds becomes the color accent.

Planning notes

Turn the elephant to face the room so the accent is seen first. White and brushed nickel pair with gray, navy and warm wood, and look sharp near brass or black.

Use alone as a focal object or pair with candlesticks of different heights for a layered tabletop. Surround it with books or a tray of candles so the bowl anchors a vignette rather than floating alone on a long console. The bowl is deep enough for ice at a party, but we recommend dry items and fruit for daily use. Wipe clean; hand wash only.

Who this is not for

• Not for outdoor use: we recommend it for indoor rooms.
• Not for hot food or oven use.
• Do not lift by the figural accent when full.

Care

Wipe clean; hand wash only. Dry the metal accent to preserve the brushed finish.
