Pistachio Black and White Tic Tac Toe Set, 14 in Hand-Painted Board

A black board with white X and O pieces is a bold coffee table game that shows well at any scale.

Pistachio is a tic tac toe set with a black hand-painted board and chunky white X and O pieces that sit in recessed squares. Leave it on a coffee table or ottoman as a graphic accent, then play a round when guests are waiting for dinner.

The board is 14 in square and 2 in tall, a good size for a coffee table next to a candle and a book. The high contrast of black and white fits modern, Scandinavian and transitional rooms. The recessed squares keep the pieces in place so the board always looks tidy, and the painted finish gives it a smooth, matte look.

Planning notes

Allow about 16 in of table space. Black and white suit modern rooms. A slate and marble version of the game in the Pistachio family is also available.

Group it with a candle and a bowl. On an ottoman, place the board on a tray with a candle and a stack of books. In a lounge or restaurant, keep the pieces in the board so the game is always ready. Wipe the painted surface gently to protect the finish.

Who this is not for

• Not for outdoor use: we recommend it for indoor rooms.
• Not for young children because of small pieces.
• Painted finish can scratch.

Care

Wipe clean with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not soak. Avoid abrasive pads on the painted surface.
