The set has two sizes: a larger ring 8 in across and a smaller ring 5.5 in across. Both are 1.25 in high. The open center lets a candle, a small vase or a few stems sit inside the ring, which makes each ring a small display stage.

Planning notes

Black marble pairs with white ceramics, brass and wood. The rings can be placed side by side, or the smaller can sit inside the larger for a stacked sculptural look.

Use them in sets with the cream version, if you want a high-contrast pair across a table. At a dinner party, set the larger ring under a hot casserole and the smaller under a teapot. When no one is eating, the rings work as sculptural objects: stack them on a coffee table with a candle in the smaller ring. Rings are heavy, so lift with two hands.

Care
