A dark board with bright nickel X and O pieces is a coffee table game and a graphic accent in one.
Elderflower is a tic tac toe set with a dark square board and bold X and O pieces in polished nickel. Leave it on a coffee table or ottoman as a graphic accent, then play a round when guests arrive. The shine of the nickel against the black board gives it a sharp, modern look.
The board is 13 in square and 1 in tall, a good size for a coffee table next to a candle and a book. The pieces fit into recessed squares so the game stays neat when it is on display. The recessed squares hold the pieces in place so the board looks tidy even mid-game, and the nickel pieces have a pleasing weight.

Planning notes
Allow about 15 in of table space. Black and nickel suit modern, glam and transitional rooms and pair with glass and marble.
Group it with a candle and a bowl to build a vignette. On a glass or marble coffee table, the polished metal picks up reflections and adds sparkle. For a hotel lounge or waiting room, keep the board on a stand or tray so it stays in place. Rotate the pieces now and then so the nickel wears evenly.
Who this is not for
- Not for outdoor use: we recommend it for indoor rooms.
- Not for young children because of small pieces.
- Polished nickel shows fingerprints.
Care
Wipe clean with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Buff the nickel to keep it bright. Keep the dark board away from abrasive cleaners.
