Ceropegia Woven Cigar Leather Rectangular Storage Basket

Hold a stack of throws, magazines or toys in a large open-weave leather basket with loop handles.

Ceropegia is a large rectangular basket in woven leather strips in a rich cigar brown, with a loop handle at each short end. Use it beside a sofa for throws, in a study for magazines and newspapers, or in a playroom for soft toys.

At 22 inches wide, 16.5 inches deep and 13 inches tall, it holds several blankets without bulging. The open weave lets air move through the contents, and the warm leather suits Rustic and Transitional rooms, a lodge lounge or a hotel suite. The open weave is lightweight for its size, and the loop handles are sewn in as part of the weave.

Planning notes

Set it on a rug or a hard floor beside a seat, and use the loop handles to carry it from room to room. At 22 inches wide it works best along a wall or beneath a console table.

Cigar brown pairs with walnut, cream wool and black iron. Add a Metropolitan Decor Essentials pillow in a neutral color on top for a finished look. Use it by a sofa for throws or under a console for magazines. In a hotel suite, a basket of extra blankets looks welcoming.

Who this is not for

• Not for outdoor use: we recommend it for indoor rooms.
• Not for wet items: keep leather away from moisture.
• Not for sharp objects that could catch in the weave.

Care

Dust with a soft cloth and wipe with a lightly damp cloth if needed. Keep it away from heat and direct sun so the leather color stays even. Keep the leather away from standing water.
