Achillea Mango Wood Desk Globe with Ring Frame and Base

A warm brown wooden globe with a round base that anchors a library shelf or the corner of a desk.

Achillea suits a study, library or den where wood tones carry the room. A brown map globe sits in a circular mango wood frame and rests on a rounded wood base, giving it a calm, grounded look.

At 16 in (40.6 cm) wide and 21.5 in (54.6 cm) high, it is larger than most desk globes, so it reads from across the room. It works best on a sideboard, console, deep bookshelf or generous desk.

Planning notes

This is a big object, so give it a sturdy surface, ideally one 16 in (40.6 cm) deep or more so the ring can sit within the edge. Wood tones layer well with leather, brass, deep green and cream. Keep other items nearby at different heights so the rounded shape stands out.

Who this is not for

• Small desks: it needs a generous surface.
• Anyone who wants a reference-grade globe: this is decorative.

Care

Dust with a soft dry cloth. Keep away from damp areas and direct heat, which can affect wood finishes.

Frequently asked questions

Is it too large for a desk?

At 21.5 in (54.6 cm) high it is substantial. It suits a large desk, credenza or shelf better than a narrow one.

What style is it?

Rustic and traditional-leaning, with warm wood and an aged-looking map.

Does the globe turn?

It sits in a ring frame like a typical desk globe, so it should rotate gently. Handle with care.

How do I style it?

Place it with books, a leather tray or a brass lamp so the wood tones pick up the rest of the room.
