A pencil-thin linear pendant: a 0.70" extruded aluminum tube with an opal polycarbonate diffuser and ABS end caps, hung on a transparent coaxial cable. The coupling lets you rotate the profile to send the light straight down onto a table or turn it for a softer, diffused wash, as Egoluce describes it. Egoluce has made 100% Made-in-Italy lighting near Milan since 1978, working with Italian companies and artisans.

Best for

Kitchen islands, breakfast bars, long desks and narrow dining tables where a thin line of light should not block the view. Our advice: for a kitchen island, choose a length roughly two-thirds of the island (the 40.2" for islands up to about 6 ft, the 50" for 6–8 ft) and hang it 30–36" above the counter.

Who this is not for

• Wet locations: IP40 is for indoor use away from water.
• Renters or anyone without an electrician: it is hardwired to a ceiling box.
• Anyone who needs light within days: it is made to order in Italy.

Why we carry it

We have curated design-led lighting since 2009 and are an authorized Egoluce retailer. Egoluce is the kind of family-owned Milanese maker we like: founded in 1978 by three friends, Bruno, Mario and Renato, still building every fixture in Italy, testing 100% of them before they ship and designing the LED units so they can be replaced instead of thrown away. Egoluce builds Lancia in other lengths up to 99" (table of lengths on the data sheet) and as the multi-bar Lancia System: contact us for a quote. The Lancia System lit the MasterChef set in 2026, according to Egoluce.

Buy once: durability and care

Egoluce says its aluminum bodies and internal heat sinks are there to extend the life of the LEDs, and that LED units are designed for easy replacement. Our advice for care: switch off, let it cool and dust with a dry microfiber cloth; no solvents on painted finishes. Egoluce does not publish separate care instructions.

Frequently asked questions

How long does the Egoluce Lancia take to arrive?

Made to order in Italy. Please allow 9 to 11 weeks for delivery. Egoluce makes each piece to order near Milan, and we email you the confirmed ship date after you order. Free shipping on orders over $100.

Which color temperature should I choose for the Egoluce Lancia?

2700K is very warm, candle-like; 3000K is warm white, the usual choice for homes; 4000K is neutral white, crisp and clean. Most of our clients choose 3000K for homes and 4000K for offices and retail (our advice).

How bright is the Egoluce Lancia?

Egoluce lists the LED source output as: 40.2" long (18W): 2700K 1,890 lm, 3000K 2,020 lm, 4000K 2,260 lm; 50" long (22.5W): 2700K 2,362 lm, 3000K 2,525 lm, 4000K 2,825 lm. Color rendering is CRI >90, so wood, fabric and skin tones look true.

Can the Egoluce Lancia be dimmed?

Yes, Egoluce's US product file lists it as dimmable. Egoluce does not publish the dimmer protocol, so send us the dimmer you plan to use and we will confirm compatibility with Egoluce before you order.

What comes in the box with the Egoluce Lancia?

Mounting kit and ceiling canopy with driver (canopy 11.8" dia. × 2.75"). The fixture arrives ready for an electrician to hardwire to a standard ceiling or wall box.

Which size of the Egoluce Lancia is right for my room?

Our advice: for a kitchen island, choose a length roughly two-thirds of the island (the 40.2" for islands up to about 6 ft, the 50" for 6–8 ft) and hang it 30–36" above the counter.
