Best Rooms and Placement

Place Sputnik in a corner of a large living room or beside a sofa, where the 72.0 in (183 cm) height lets the upper light reach across the space. Use the lower light alone for evening reading or a quiet mood, and both together for gatherings. In open-plan offices and lounges it can replace several smaller lamps. Gabriel Teixidó (born Barcelona, 1947) has worked as an industrial designer since 1970 and is known for practical, long-lasting designs; his honors include SIDI awards and several ADI-FAD Delta de Plata awards. Carpyen, founded in Barcelona in 1948, makes it in its own Barcelona workshops.
