Best Rooms and Placement

Mount Jerry over the head of the bed or beside it, at a height that lets you aim the beam at your book without lighting your partner's side. In a study, place it above a shelf or reading chair. In hotel rooms, a pair on either side of the bed is tidy and easy for guests to use. Pair it with a softer ambient light, because 100 lumens is meant for focused reading rather than room lighting.

Planning Notes

• Allow 5.9 in (15 cm) of projection from the wall for the surface-mounted version.
• Have a qualified electrician wire it; recessed versions use a different housing, so confirm which one you need.
• The LED is integrated, so plan for the whole fixture to be serviced rather than a bulb swapped.
