Novo V turns the way a pendant hangs into the design. A small 3-inch aluminum cylinder is suspended on two cables that meet in a V, so a row of them over a kitchen island, bar, restaurant counter or reception desk draws a lively zigzag pattern across the ceiling, as in the maker's kitchen photos. The two-point suspension also keeps each pendant steady and lets you place it exactly between two ceiling points. Matte Black, White or Polished Chrome suit Modern, Scandinavian and industrial-loft rooms.

The light is crisp and efficient. A 5 W integrated LED sends 368 lumens at 90 CRI and 3000K through a luminous ring at the bottom of the cylinder, giving clean, color-true downlight on the counter with a soft glowing edge. Choose two 2.5-inch fascia canopies that sit flush to the ceiling (SP2), or a Multi-Port connector (MPC) for Blackjack Multi-Port canopies and Solo, Duo and Quatro systems; both run from a separate driver that dims on TRIAC, ELV or 0-10V controls.

About Blackjack Lighting and Stephen Blackman

Blackjack Lighting is a design- and technology-driven lighting maker based in Buffalo Grove, Illinois, outside Chicago. It is led by industrial designer Stephen Blackman, its President and Chief Design Officer. A Syracuse University industrial design graduate, he entered the lighting industry in 1984 at Sonneman Design Group and founded his own studio, Blackman Design Associates, in 1988, designing for manufacturers such as Kichler Lighting before launching Blackjack in 2013. FAQ

What do I need besides the pendant?

Neither option includes a driver. The SP2 version needs a remote LED driver; the MPC version plugs into a Blackjack Multi-Port canopy or system with its own driver. Ask us and we will help you match the right driver or canopy.

How far apart should the two canopies be?

The spacing sets the V angle and the drop: wider spacing gives a wider V and a shorter maximum drop. For example, canopies 24 in apart allow up to a 99 in drop.

How high should it hang over an island?

Set the pendant heads 30 to 36 in above the counter, and space pendants 12 to 18 in apart along the island.

Which dimmer works?

Blackjack's universal drivers dim on TRIAC, ELV or 0-10V controls; choose the dimmer that matches your driver.

Does it use replaceable bulbs?

No. The LED is built in, and Blackjack covers the LED and power supply for three years.
