This is the cord-hung Besa Lighting Pogo, a double-glass 12-volt mini pendant. A globe of satin-etched opal glass sits centered inside a radiused outer glass ring, and the whole shade measures 6.25 inches across and 6.25 inches high. It hangs on a 10-foot field-adjustable coaxial cord (Besa offers a 15-foot cord as an option) under a flat 5-inch canopy. You trim the cord to your drop at installation, and the canopy installs to a standard 4-inch octagonal box and suits sloped ceilings.

The outer glass carries distressed metal foil on its inside surface, so the opal glows through a glint of gold or silver. Choose Black or Gold with inner gold foil, or White or Silver with inner silver foil. It runs on 12 volts with a 60-watt transformer included, and dimming needs an ELV dimmer (not included). Choose the LED version (a 5W dimmable source is included) or the halogen version, which takes one GY6.35 bipin T-shape lamp of up to 35W (not included). Our photos show the Satin Nickel finish; the other finishes share the same glass.

Buy once: durability and care

With the power off and the glass cool, wipe the outer glass with a soft cloth lightly misted with glass cleaner (spray the cloth, not the fixture); the foil is on the inside, so never scrub the inside surface. Dust the cord and canopy with a dry cloth (our advice). Installation by a licensed electrician is recommended.
