The Artemide Mesmeri Wall Light is a wall light designed by Eric Solé in 2005. In Artemide's words: “A sinuous linear form masks the light source it contains, emitting a soft light upwards. About the designer

Eric Solé. With a desire for overall simplicity, French designer Eric Sole created functional, futuristic works of art with soft curves which look as good in the dark as when illuminated.

Best for

Bedside reading, hallways, living rooms and offices; anywhere floor and table space is tight.

Who this is not for

• Bathrooms, showers, covered porches or outdoor spaces: it is rated IP20 for dry indoor locations.
• Renters or anyone without an electrician: it is hardwired to a junction box.
• Anyone who needs it soon when choosing a special-order option: those are ordered from Italy and take 10–16 weeks.

Our advice: switch off and let it cool, then dust with a soft dry microfiber cloth. Avoid solvents and abrasive cleaners on painted and anodized aluminum. Artemide does not publish separate care instructions.
