Hang this over a long dining table or a kitchen island when you want the lighting to look designed rather than bought as a set. Eighteen cylindrical pendants drop at varied heights from a single linear canopy, and each one glows from within through a natural alabaster optic. Alabaster is a translucent stone, so the light is warm and soft, and no two optics are exactly alike.

The Gable family suits Modern, Transitional and Scandinavian rooms, and the 120V and 277V versions mean the same fixture works in a home or a restaurant, hotel or office project.

Installation & sizing

Over a table, leave 30–36 inches between the tabletop and the bottom of the fixture (Visual Comfort's guidance), and keep the fixture at least 6 inches narrower than the table. Over a walk-through space keep 7 feet of clearance. Have a licensed electrician hardwire it; hanging heights and canopy details are on the spec sheet.

• Anyone who wants a single bright task light: this is soft, decorative ambient light, so add task lighting where you need it.
• Anyone who wants a different color temperature: it comes in 3000K only.
