Why we carry it

We have curated lighting since 2009 and carry Nora because contractors trust it: clear specs, code-compliant housings and trims that fit what they say they fit. We list only options Nora has in stock and refresh stock every week, so the item number you order is the one that ships.

Frequently asked questions

Which trims fit the NFBIC-5INCATA Series?

Use 5" trims that Nora approves for this housing; the spec sheet lists them. The trim is sold separately.

Is the NFBIC-5INCATA Series for new construction or remodel?

Check the name and spec sheet: new-construction housings mount to joists before drywall; remodel housings go in from below through an existing ceiling.

What does IC and air-tight mean?

IC (insulation contact) means it can touch ceiling insulation safely. Air-tight means it limits air leaking between the room and the attic, which energy codes such as California Title 24 require in many cases.

Is the NFBIC-5INCATA Series in stock, and can I order it for a project?

We only list options that Nora has ready to ship and update stock from their warehouse every week. Contractors and builders are welcome to order in project quantities; contact us for larger jobs.

How do I make sure I order the right part?

Match the Nora item number on your plans, quote or old fixture to the item numbers listed on this page. If you are replacing a part, the model number is usually printed on a label inside the housing or on the trim. Send us the number if you are unsure and we will check it for you.

Are these genuine Nora Lighting products?

Yes. We are an authorized Nora Lighting retailer and have sold lighting online since 2009. Every item is sold new.
