This is the Besa Lighting Melo wall sconce. It measures Glass 7.25" diameter x 8.25" high; overall fixture dimensions are on the spec sheet. The glass can face upward or downward, and it installs to a standard 4-inch octagonal outlet box.

Melo is a transitional bath sconce with a transparent, classically shaped glass shade and bubbles blown at random through it. It hangs from a timeless gooseneck socket holder off a broad canopy, and the bare filament shows through the bubbles. Clear Bubble is in stock; Blue Bubble and Chartreuse Bubble are listed by Besa. Lamping on the standard version: 1 x 60W maximum T10 medium (E26) base lamp, not included; dims with a standard incandescent dimmer (not included). We have been curating design-led lighting since 2009, and the Melo wall sconce is a small way to bring handcrafted Besa glass into a bath or hall: a large, classically shaped glass with bubbles scattered through it, carried on a gooseneck arm so the filament glows through the bubbles. Besa Lighting pairs American design with European glass artisanship: its shades are hand-blown by skilled artisans using techniques passed down for generations, then hand-inspected at Besa’s factory in Ohio for color, pattern, thickness and size before they ship.

Buy once: durability and care

With the power off and the glass cool, wipe it with a soft cloth lightly misted with glass cleaner (spray the cloth, not the fixture), and dust the metal parts with a dry microfiber cloth (our advice). Lamps are replaceable, and installation by a licensed electrician is recommended.
