This is the stem-mount version of Besa Lighting’s Gordy, an industrial-styled dome pendant with a cutout crown and a gold foil reflector. The cutout dome is the same one Besa offers on its other mounts, 13 inches across and 7 inches tall, but it hangs from a plated steel stem kit: a telescoping section with up to 3 inches of adjustment plus 3", 6", 12" and 18" sections, 39 inches as standard and up to 10 feet with extra sections. A swivel at the 5-inch canopy lets the stem hang plumb under a sloped ceiling.

Gordy is a dome of plated spun steel, 13 inches across, with an abstract cutout pattern around the crown and a gold foil finish inside the reflector; the foil gives a focused glow, and the cutouts throw an overhead silhouette as light passes through them. In Black the reflector is a champagne tone. Order the LED version (a 9W replaceable, dimmable LED source is included: 800 lumens at 3000K, CRI 90+) or the incandescent version for a 60W A19 medium-base (E26) bulb of your choice. The photo shows the Black dome with its champagne gold foil interior; on this version the shade hangs from the stem kit pictured in the drawing.

Best for

Vaulted and sloped ceilings, long islands, restaurant and café counters, and any run of pendants that should sit at exactly the same height. The Gordy itself suits kitchen islands and bar counters in pairs, dining tables, entries and lofts where a bold industrial dome should throw focused light straight down. Who this is not for

• Anyone who wants to change the drop freely after installation: the stem length is set by assembling sections.
• Drops longer than 10 ft: that is the stem kit’s maximum.

Buy once: durability and care

With the power off and the shade cool, wipe it with a soft cloth and dust the stem and canopy with a dry microfiber cloth (our advice). The LED source is replaceable. Installation by a licensed electrician is recommended.
