Pablo Designs Swell String 3 Mixed LED Pendant – Damp Rated

Swell String 3 Mixed links three hand-spun aluminum shades — Narrow, Medium and Wide — on one flowing line powered from a single point. Hang the lamps straight down on the included vertical cables, or drape them along a horizontal cable (kit sold separately). Each shade pairs a satin exterior with a glowing brass interior, and the whole string is damp rated for covered outdoor spaces.

Room fit: where it works best

• Over long surfaces: dining tables and islands roughly 72" or longer, bars and banquettes.
• Covered outdoors: pergolas, covered terraces and restaurant patios.
• Height: hang shades about 30–36" above a tabletop; cables adjust up to 10 ft.
• Brightness: about 3,000 lumens total from three lamps.

Placement guidance is our general design rule of thumb, not a Pablo specification.

Who this is not for

• If you want three identical shades, order String Single modules in one size instead; this set is intentionally mixed.
• Not for rain-exposed or open outdoor locations. Swell is damp rated for covered areas such as porches and pergolas with a roof, not wet locations.
• If you want very warm 2700K light, ask us first: the standard bulb is 3000K, and 2700K is a special request.

Why we carry it

Swell does something few lights manage: the same fixture belongs in a dining room and on a covered patio. We've been curating modern lighting since 2009, and we like Swell because it's honest about materials — hand-spun aluminum with a warm brass interior — and because it's a system. A single pendant today can grow into a string or a cluster later, and it runs on a standard E26 LED bulb, so it won't become obsolete the day an LED module fails.

Buy once: longevity and care

• Replaceable bulb: each lamp uses a standard E26/PAR30 LED bulb (3000K, about 1,000 lumens), so light output can be renewed for decades.
• Interchangeable shades: Pablo designed the Narrow, Medium and Wide shades to be interchangeable, so you can change the look later without replacing the fixture.
• Expandable: grow the string later with String Single modules.
• Care: dust the shade with a soft, dry cloth; avoid abrasive or solvent cleaners on the finish and the brass interior. Outdoors under cover, wipe it down seasonally.
• Warranty: 1-year Pablo Designs product warranty (bulbs excluded, per Pablo warranty terms).

Frequently asked questions

What comes in the box?

Three lamps (Narrow, Medium, Wide), the 8 ft power feed cord and canopy, and vertical mounting kits. The horizontal mounting kit is sold separately.

Can I add more lamps later?

Yes. Add Swell String Single modules; Pablo allows up to 34 lamps from one power source.

How far apart are the lamps?

Pablo's drawings show 22–28" between lamps.

Can I use it outdoors?

Yes, under cover. Swell is damp rated for indoor and covered outdoor areas, such as covered porches and pergolas. It is not rated for wet locations exposed to rain.

Is Swell dimmable?

Yes. Pablo lists Swell as fully dimmable; use a dimmer rated for LED bulbs.
