Room fit: where it works best

• Dining tables: the 24" over a 4–6 seat table, the 36" over larger tables.
• Entries: a statement light with real output.
• Restaurants and lobbies: in groupings.
• Hanging height: about 30–36" above a table.

• Needs hardwiring; plan on an electrician.

Why we carry it

We've been curating modern lighting since 2009, and Solis is one of the few fixtures that changes the whole room rather than just lighting it. Milan designer Carmine Deganello laser-cut a light polyester fabric and stretched it between two polished rings; the light leaks through the pattern in sunburst rays across walls and ceiling. It ships flat, weighs little for its size, and the three lengths let you scale it from a small stair to a double-height entry.

• Fire-retardant fabric: Pablo uses fire-retardant polyester for the shade.
• Ships flat: compact packaging, assembled on site.
• Care: switch off, then dust the fabric gently with a soft brush or a vacuum on low with a brush attachment; do not wet-clean the laser-cut fabric.

How bright is it?

2,500 lumens for the 24" and 5,600 lumens for the 36", enough to light a dining room or entry on its own.

Which dimmer should I use?

Pablo specifies full-range dimming with ELV dimmers; TRIAC/ELV compatible, with 0–10V and DALI on request.

Can I get a different color temperature?

Standard is 2700K; Pablo lists 3000K and 3500K on request.

What size should I choose?

As a rule of thumb, choose a drum about half to two-thirds the width of your table: 24" for most dining tables, 36" for long or large tables.

How long is the cable?

10 ft (305 cm), field-cuttable.
