The Esfera 60" Large Linear Suspension by Kelly Wearstler for Visual Comfort Modern (formerly Tech Lighting) realizes the geometry of elementary forms at ceiling scale — a 60-inch linear pendant built from precisely arrayed spherical glass globes that catch and distribute warm LED light in all directions simultaneously. Each globe functions as both shade and diffuser, the refracted light from its neighbor appearing inside its own envelope. The result is a fixture with unusual visual depth: it reads differently depending on ambient light conditions, with globes appearing to glow from within in dim conditions and reflecting light like a row of polished spheres in bright rooms.
