The Cupola 1-Light Crystal Pendant by Sean Lavin for Visual Comfort Modern is the smallest, most elemental fixture in the Trellis collection — a single crystal dome optic suspended on a field-cuttable 132-inch cord from a compact canopy. At 2.6 inches wide and 4.7 inches tall, it is a fixture with the precision of a jewel: the crystal optic refracts the 3000K LED source into a warm, softly prismatic downlight that reads more refined than its 4.3W output would suggest. The form is resolved to its minimum — no excess material, no decorative gesture beyond the optical quality of the crystal itself.
Compatible with sloped ceilings up to 45 degrees. The 132-inch cord is field-cuttable to any hang height between 14.6 and 134.6 inches. Available in Nightshade Black and Natural Brass. 344 lumens, 3000K, 90 CRI, dimmable with ELV, TRIAC, and 0-10V dimmers. Universal 120V–277V. ETL listed. Five-year warranty. Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I use multiple Cupola pendants on a single canopy?
A: Yes — the Cupola 1-Light is designed for clustering on multi-port canopies. Using 3–8 units at varying heights above a dining table, kitchen island, or bar counter creates a composed constellation effect that is far more impactful than a single pendant. The crystal optic reads as a jewel-like light point from across a room.
Q: What is the difference between the Crystal and Alabaster Cupola Port?
A: The Crystal version uses a faceted crystal optic that creates prismatic refractions — slightly more sparkle and visual complexity when lit. The Alabaster version uses a natural stone diffuser that produces a warmer, more diffused glow with less light transmission. Both are the same fixture; the shade material is the only difference.
Q: Is this the same as the Cupola Remote pendant?
A: No — the "Port Alone" version (this product) is for use on a multi-port canopy as one element of a multi-pendant cluster. The Remote version has its own individual canopy and cord for standalone installation.
