Their zigzag and striped knits made the name world-famous in the 1960s. Missoni Home grew out of the family's furnishing fabrics, and Rosita Missoni went on to lead the home collection from the 1990s. Today the tableware is designed in Italy and sold through luxury department stores and design boutiques worldwide.

Worth the investment

Brought out twice a week for ten years, $575 comes to about $0.55 per use (our math), for pieces that stay in the family.

Buy once: durability and care

The distributor lists it as dishwasher safe.
