It is 6 in (15.2 cm) wide and 8.5 in (21.6 cm) high and sits 7 in (17.8 cm) off the wall, with 1 light, in Polished Chrome or Oil Rubbed Bronze.

It takes an E26 Medium bulb up to 60W. A 2700K to 3000K LED bulb keeps a hallway, living room or bedroom warm; 3500K reads crisper on a stairway. It installs with the light facing up or down: up for a soft wash on the wall, down for reading and walkway light. Seedy glass softens the light and cuts glare at eye level. Choose Polished Chrome or Oil Rubbed Bronze to match door hardware, picture frames or a nearby ceiling fixture; it suits Traditional, Modern and Industrial schemes.

Details and dimensions

Brand: Maxim Lighting

Collection: Seafarer

Type: Wall sconce

Style: Traditional, Modern, Industrial

Lights: 1

Dimensions: 6 in (15.2 cm) wide, 8.5 in (21.6 cm) high

Extension from wall: 7 in (17.8 cm)

Backplate: 4.5 x 7 in (11.4 x 17.8 cm) W x H

Mounting direction: Up or Down

Finishes: Polished Chrome, Oil Rubbed Bronze

Glass or shade: Seedy

Material: Steel, Glass

Light source: 1 x E26 Medium socket, 60W max each, bulbs not included

Voltage: 120V

Location rating: Damp

Certification: cETLus

Net weight: 2 lb (0.9 kg)

Packed weight: 2.42 lb (1.1 kg)

Item numbers (MPN): 26111CDOI/BUL, 26111CDPC, 26111CDPC/BUL

Delivery: Ships in 3 to 5 business days.

Where it works best

In a hallway or living room, center each sconce at roughly eye level, about 5 ft 6 in (168 cm) up, with 8 to 10 ft between fixtures. Next to a bed, place it 2 to 2.5 ft over the mattress top so the light falls on a book. On a stairway, keep each sconce the same height above the treads. Either side of a bathroom mirror, mount them at about eye level, 36 to 40 in apart, for even light on the face.

Who this is not for

It projects 7 in, beyond the 4 in ADA limit, so it is not for a commercial corridor or a narrow public hall. It is damp rated, so a bathroom or covered porch is fine, but not a spot exposed to rain or shower spray.
