It is 8 in (20.3 cm) wide and 12 in (30.5 cm) high and sits 5 in (12.7 cm) off the wall, with 1 light, in Gunmetal or Natural Aged Brass.

It takes an E26 Medium bulb up to 60W. A 2700K to 3000K LED bulb keeps a hallway, living room or bedroom warm; 3500K reads crisper on a stairway. Maxim rates it for Triac or ELV (Phase Dim) dimming. Choose Gunmetal or Natural Aged Brass to match door hardware, picture frames or a nearby ceiling fixture; it suits Transitional schemes.

Details and dimensions

Brand: Maxim Lighting

Collection: Marimba

Type: Wall sconce

Style: Transitional

Lights: 1

Dimensions: 8 x 5 in (20.3 x 12.7 cm) L x W, 12 in (30.5 cm) high

Extension from wall: 5 in (12.7 cm)

Backplate: 6 x 10 in (15.2 x 25.4 cm) W x H

Mounting direction: Up

Finishes: Gunmetal, Natural Aged Brass

Material: Mild Steel, Mango Wood

Light source: 1 x E26 Medium socket, 60W max each, bulbs not included

Dimming: Triac or ELV (Phase Dim)

Voltage: 120V

Location rating: Damp

Certification: cULus

Net weight: 3.52 lb (1.6 kg)

Packed weight: 6.17 lb (2.8 kg)

Item numbers (MPN): 22510WNGM, 22510WWTNAB

Delivery: Ships in 3 to 5 business days.

Where it works best

In a hallway or living room, center each sconce at roughly eye level, about 5 ft 6 in (168 cm) up, with 8 to 10 ft between fixtures. Next to a bed, place it 2 to 2.5 ft over the mattress top so the light falls on a book. On a stairway, keep each sconce the same height above the treads. Either side of a bathroom mirror, mount them at about eye level, 36 to 40 in apart, for even light on the face.

Who this is not for

It projects 5 in, beyond the 4 in ADA limit, so it is not for a commercial corridor or a narrow public hall. It is damp rated, so a bathroom or covered porch is fine, but not a spot exposed to rain or shower spray. Bulbs are sold separately.

Why we carry Maxim

Maxim matches its finishes across collections, so a chandelier, its pendants and its sconces read as one scheme.
