The base is stone and has some weight, so place it on a stable surface.

Because the dome is glass, handle it with both hands when moving the set. Pair it with a wooden board and cheese knives, or a cake knife for dessert. Natural marble varies, so each base will have its own veining. For hospitality use, a pair of domes on a buffet lets you offer two choices at once. At a brunch buffet, set one dome with pastries and a second with cheese and fruit. Keep the dome handy on a small plate while you serve so it does not roll or chip. On a cafe counter, the clear glass lets guests see what is inside without lifting the cover.

Who this is not for

Not for outdoor use: we recommend it for indoor rooms.

Not a place for acidic spills: lemon, wine and vinegar can dull polished stone, so wipe up quickly.

Care

Hand wash gently with mild soap and warm water, then dry with a soft cloth.
