Stand it beside a sofa for magazines or throws, next to a fireplace for kindling, or in an entry for scarves and gloves.

At 18 in wide, 9 in deep and 11 in tall, it holds a stack of magazines or a couple of folded throws. The leather softens with use, so the basket develops character over time. It can also hold rolled towels in a guest bathroom or kitchen-side bar.

Specifications

Collection: Metropolitan Decor Essentials

Dimensions: 18 in W x 9 in D x 11 in H (45.7 x 22.9 x 27.9 cm)

Materials: Leather

Finish / Color: Tan leather

Handles: Leather straps

Assembly: No assembly required

Item number: MD-MDE-20468

Where to use it

Living room: Stores magazines or blankets next to a chair or sofa.

Fireplace: Holds kindling or small split logs.

Entry: Corrals scarves, hats and gloves.

Hotel or lounge: Offers a place for reading material in a seating area.

Planning notes

Leave about two feet of floor beside a sofa so the basket is easy to reach. Tan leather suits Rustic and Traditional rooms and pairs with wood, wool and navy.

Use it alone or pair with a floor lamp and a side table to build a reading corner. Keep it away from open flame when used near a hearth.
