It is cut from thick premium-grade leather and handmade in France, and a USB-rechargeable light source sits inside, dimming steplessly at a touch. EO (short for “Elements Optimal”) is a Danish design house founded in Copenhagen in 2013 by Nicole & Tor Vitner Servé. Its EO PLAY line is a luxury collection of design objects for children, made with independent designers from around the world.

Specifications

Brand: EO (EO PLAY collection)

Model: Elephant Night Lamp

Designer: Marc Venot

Type: Rechargeable, dimmable night lamp

Color: Grey

Dimensions (L × W × H): 21 × 15.5 × 18.5 cm (8.3 × 6.1 × 7.3 in)

Materials: Thick premium-grade leather; ABS

Power: Integrated rechargeable lithium battery, charged by USB cable (included)

Control: Stepless dimming by touch

Light module: Easily removable magnetic fixing

Light output, color temperature, battery runtime: Not published by the distributor

Weight: Not published by the distributor

Certifications (UL/ETL): Not published by the distributor

Made in: France (handmade)

Item number (MPN): EO532

UPC: 842888105367

Features

Thick premium-grade leather body in Grey

Integrated rechargeable lithium battery; USB charging cable included

Stepless dimming with touch control

Easily removable magnetic fixing for the light module

Handmade in France

Best for

A nightstand or bookshelf in a nursery or kid’s room, a gentle light for bedtime stories, or a grown-up desk where you want one playful object. EO’s elephant earns its place: according to EO it has been sold in the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art shop and at the Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris, and it is built from leather rather than molded plastic, so it stays in the room long after the toddler years.

Buy once: durability and care

EO designs for long-lasting quality, meant to be passed on rather than replaced. The distributor doesn’t publish care instructions; our advice is to dust the leather with a soft dry cloth, keep it away from water and direct heat, and recharge only with the supplied cable.

Safety

Not a toy.
