The classic pose, round ears and gloved hands are shaped in solid oak, with smoke-stained oak picking out the darker parts of the character, so the figure reads as Mickey at a glance without a drop of cartoon color. It is officially licensed by Disney. Boyhood is a Danish design brand founded by designer Jakob Burgsø. It makes collectible wooden icons from solid FSC-certified wood, including officially licensed characters from some of the world’s best-known brands. We source every piece through Boyhood’s official US distributor.

Buy once: durability and care

To dust, wipe with a soft, clean, dry cloth. To remove marks, use only water on a soft, damp cloth and dry it thoroughly. Direct sunlight may change the color of the wood over time (US distributor’s care notes). Boyhood adds that solid wood should be kept away from direct heat such as wood-burning stoves and radiators, which can discolor and dry it out, and that small variations in grain and surface are part of the natural material.

Frequently asked questions

What sizes does the Boyhood Mickey Mouse come in?

Small: H 6.0″ × W 4.1″ × L 2.6″; Large: H 9.6″ × W 6.5″ × L 4.2″ (US distributor’s figures).

Is the Boyhood Mickey Mouse a toy for children?

No. The US distributor lists it for ages 15 and up, and Boyhood describes it as a design object, not a toy: keep it out of reach of babies and small children because of the choking hazard.

What is the Boyhood Mickey Mouse made of?

Solid oak with smoke-stained oak details.
