VAHLO is stoneware with a glossy reactive glaze and a shape all its own: squares and rectangles with rounded corners and soft edges, a clear alternative to round dinnerware. The glaze reacts to the kiln, so each piece shows light freckling and small shifts of tone. Moonbeam is a warm cream-beige; Mirage Grey is a light gray with a green cast. Bottoms are left unglazed. blomus is a family company run by the fourth generation of the Blome family in Sundern, Germany. It began in 1921 making bicycle parts, moved into copper, brass, pewter and stainless-steel design pieces in 1961, and has worked under the blomus name since 2000.

Buy once: durability and care

Dishwasher and microwave safe, according to blomus.
