SABLO is stoneware made from colored clay blended with quartz, minerals and oxides and fired at a very high temperature. The firing makes the body dense enough to go without an all-over glaze, so every piece is glazed only in part; the rest is left as raw, lightly speckled clay with a fine, sandy feel. Cloud is a soft off-white with a hint of gray, Stone a pale gray with a cool blue cast, and Savannah a warm, deep yellow; on every color the bare band is a sandy beige. blomus is a family company run by the fourth generation of the Blome family in Sundern, Germany.
