blackjack-lighting-surface-acrylic-globe-3-inch-ceiling-light
Blackjack Lighting Surface Acrylic Globe 3-Inch LED Ceiling Light

The Surface Acrylic Globe is a small, jewel-like ceiling light: a 3-inch acrylic globe on a short 2-inch neck, mounted right at the ceiling. It brings the look of a mini globe pendant to places where a hanging fixture would be in the way, such as low ceilings, closets and pantries, hallways and stair landings, bathrooms and powder rooms, over a bed or a reading nook, or in a grid across a restaurant, boutique or hotel corridor ceiling. Choose a Bubble globe for sparkle, a Clear globe that shows its glowing light guide, or a Frosted globe for a soft, even glow; set it on a Matte Black, White or Polished Chrome canopy for Modern, Scandinavian or Transitional rooms.

The light is gentle and decorative. A 3-watt integrated LED lights the acrylic from within, giving 135 lumens of warm 3000K light at 90 CRI with no visible bulb. Two canopy options make it easy to install: the 5-inch canopy has a universal 120-277V driver built in and dims on TRIAC, ELV or 0-10V; the slim 2-inch fascia canopy sits almost flush on a rigid ceiling and connects to a remote driver (sold separately), ideal when you want many points of light with one driver. It is rated for damp locations.

Why it works on a low ceiling

Compact: about 5 in (12.7 cm) from the ceiling to the bottom of the globe.

Three looks: Bubble, Clear or Frosted acrylic globe.

Two installation options: 5 in canopy with built-in driver, or 2 in fascia canopy for a remote driver.

True color: 90 CRI warm 3000K light.

Universal dimming with the 5 in canopy driver: TRIAC, ELV or 0-10V.

Damp location rated, with a three-year warranty on the LED and power supply.

Where to use it

Closets, pantries and laundry rooms: one centered just inside the door.

Hallways and landings: a line of fixtures every 4 to 6 ft for a soft, decorative path of light.

Bathrooms and powder rooms: as an accent above a vanity or tub, or in a cluster on the ceiling.

Restaurants, boutiques and hotels: a grid of globes across a ceiling, using 2 in canopies on a shared remote driver.

Specifications

Brand: Blackjack Lighting, Buffalo Grove, Illinois

Series: Spec Series

Part numbers: SGS-[BU|CL|FR]-03-[BL|WH|PC]-30K-3W-[SP2|SP5], where BU is Bubble, CL Clear, FR Frosted;
